AI & Human Leadership
Become the Human Interface to AI
We fully incorporate AI into our learning journeys. By embedding AI across projects, we prepare changemakers to navigate and shape a future where human-AI collaboration is a daily reality.
- Every team company blends AI tools with everyday work—from research, writing, and data analysis to design, communication, and strategy.
- Learners gain fluency in responsible, ethical use of AI and understand its limits.
- We develop judgment about when human insight, creativity, and empathy are essential.
- Graduates become the human interface between AI and society so technologies serve people, communities, and the planet.
Libraries & Coffee
The City is the Campus
We anchor teams in public library co-working spaces—visible, inter-generational, and open. Libraries are already a trusted daily hub for many—including homeless and housing-insecure veterans—so they’re the right place to connect services with purpose, and to turn curiosity into projects, clients, and jobs. Add a coffee micro-venture and maker partnerships to accelerate impact.
- Weekly open studio: Tuesdays 1–5 PM (Olympia hub).
- Partner MOUs with libraries, municipalities, SMEs.
- Public showcases build trust and momentum.
Why Libraries?
- Civic trust & inclusive access
- Lower fixed costs → more learning per dollar
- Authentic community briefs for real work
For learners of all ages
Lead from the Emerging Future
Whether you’re 15 or 70, you’ll join a team company and learn by doing: pitch real clients, deliver value, and build a public portfolio. You’ll read, reflect, and practice disciplined dialogue. By the end of every sprint, you have evidence deliverables, testimonials, and micro-credentials that travel with you.
How we embed u.lab & MITx
We integrate MIT’s u.lab (Leading from the Emerging Future) into team cadence. Learners can earn MITx certificates annually while practicing u-school presencing and systems leadership in real projects.
Your Journey (12–24 months)
- On-ramp: vision, learning contract, team charter, safety basics
